I am a firm believer that our constant access to “all the things” via our smartphones, computers, and other devices can produce anxiety. Being constantly connected (or at least knowing that we CAN be, if we want to be) can give us a serious case of FOMO. It’s hard to keep up with everyone and everything and we quickly lose sight that people are only posting the very best of their lives on social media. (Yet we compare our internal state to their happiest external portrayal…not fair to anyone.)
Here are some quick tips to manage your anxiety. And, I would add- put down your phone (pick up a book, exercise, or have a conversation with your friends/significant other).
