My child’s focus question in preschool this week is, “What makes a good friend?” When I asked my children this last night they both gave examples of kindness. When you’re in preschool, you want someone to share the play kitchen food, the baby dolls, and someone to play with outside.
As an adult, however, friendships can be challenging. For the first time in your life, you no longer have a built-in community (the pandemic certainly hasn’t helped things, either). If you went to college, you likely lived with and among your friends, had classes with your friends, ate every meal with your friends, and on, and on.
If you are struggling in this area, feel free to reach out! A few of our therapists have openings right now.
